Explode
Explode is a way of connecting to people across social platforms.
Really neat initiative that addresses the problem of finding users who are not part of your network.
You are able to create a profile, fill out some stuff about yourself and browse for others based on tags, and making friends.
these friends you can showcase on your network profile.
a few downsides though,
- if you are member of multiple networks, too bad, you can only link to one (directly via http refer)
- the widget for myspace doesnt contain the profile pics from your friends
- needs lots of members and promotion to make it work, right now you browse between a few hundred members, so you hardly find anyone using tags...free text search would be a plus.
