4. The Navigation

Make sure both searchengine robots and people navigate well on your site.
Do this by providing normal text-links.
The way links are ordered also influences the popularity of a page within the site.
Te index page inherits more pagerank from other pages in the site if using a hierarchical navigation.
Breadcrumbs like Home]level1]level2 provide nice extra information of where you are.
Breadcrumbs also repeat the names of your directories and titles, and help your keyword density get better.
Make sure searchengines will find you.
