Maia ligfietsen
Today i rode a Challenger, and it was fun to ride. As i never rode a manufacturer recumbent before, i was surprised to find all the same comforts and glitches when riding this Challenger, compared to my self built.
Easier to get used to though, probably anyone could try it and ride it for a while.
At saturday mornings 10.00 am, Maia ligfietsen has an hour where you can try a bike for free! Well, at 15 Eu/half day one cant complain, so i did just that.
The weather was 17 deg. rainy but that didn`t stop the fun, rather it was nice, a bit cooling rain. The shop is situated in the middle of beauty full meadow and dike landscape, it is just to bike away.
The trip itself was very relaxing, and the rain didn`t make me hurry at all.
Sometimes the shop arranges special testing days, where you set off on a bike together with other enthusiasts, and exchange bikes along the way.
After the trip you are offered a lunch. Contact the shop for details and dates.
Great idea if you want to test more recumbents!
In the shop they also have one of those new flevobikes, i only have seen in pictures from their websites, is a beauty. As i understand its also possible to testride a carbonfiber M5 high racer, you are charged a higher rent.
I even could use their computer to write this entry.
