There are 3 major airports around Stockholm, connecting this city with the rest of europe.

The biggest international airport 45 min from town
sas an klm are currently the best choice, one could also fly finnir via helsinki
basiqair is transavia nowadays, and they dont fly to skavsta anymore
Skavsta
my choice, its got cheap flights, its small so you dont walk far, and newly built.
just over an hours drive to the center.
Bromma
never tried it actually. certainly the closest to town, a few stops and youre there.
Dont come this way by car, driving hundreds of kilometers through the woods will bore you to sleep. Really, i recommend taking lots of coffie underway.
To find a place to stay is dificult.
try off season, youthhostels are very expensive.
try bed and breakfasts, or hire a summerstuga
